Creative Connections: Building Confidence and Friendships Through Art
Children between the ages of 8 and 11 are at a critical developmental stage where they are building their self-concept, developing peer relationships, and learning social skills that will shape their future interactions. This weekly art therapy group is designed to support children through this important period of growth by providing a safe, creative space to explore their emotions, build confidence, and foster friendships.
What Kids Will Gain:
- Self-Confidence: Activities tailored to help children feel empowered and capable during a time when self-esteem becomes increasingly important.
- Social Skills: Collaborative art projects that encourage teamwork, empathy, and effective communication.
- Emotional Regulation: Opportunities to explore and express feelings in a healthy, creative way, promoting emotional intelligence.
- Creative Expression: Hands-on exploration of various art materials to help children develop their individuality and voice.
Research shows that engaging in creative activities during this stage of development enhances problem-solving, strengthens emotional resilience, and supports cognitive growth.
