Description
About Me:
Hi! I’m a caring and compassionate therapist specializing in youth, young adult, and family support. I have 20 years of experience in mental health and education. My extensive professional learning has focused on applied neuroscience, complex trauma support, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and personal arts expression. I’m passionate about helping young people and their caregivers build emotional regulation skills, find their strengths, improve communication, and navigate life’s big transitions.
My mission in life is to change the youth mental health landscape. In addition to my clinical work, I serve as the Chief Clinical Innovation Officer at Lucero, where we’ve co-created a game-based mental health app used by over 20,000 families and counting! I’m also writing a dissertation for my PhD at Texas State University and sometimes teach courses at UT Austin Graduate School to grow the next generation of therapists!
