Description
Adrianna is a deeply wise and gentle soul whose calm presence brings softness and strength to the Community Arts team. A proud Latina and Texas native with roots in South Texas, Adrianna carries with her the rich cultural heritage that informs her warmth, creativity, and commitment to community. She ventured to New York to complete her Master of Professional Studies in Art Therapy and Creativity Development at Pratt Institute — one of the nation’s premier art therapy programs — and has since returned to serve the communities that shaped her.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and provisionally licensed Art Therapist, Adrianna is passionate about supporting children through their expressive journeys. She creates nurturing spaces where young clients — and individuals of all ages, races, genders, and identities — can safely explore their inner worlds and connect with the strengths they carry within.
Her holistic, person-centered approach sees each person as a whole being — mind, body, heart, and soul — and honors their unique path toward healing. Adrianna works through a gentle combination of talk therapy, art therapy, attunement, interactive feedback, and supportive reflection. She believes in meeting people exactly where they are and helping them feel empowered to be their most authentic selves.
Adrianna is especially attuned to the importance of cultural identity, generational wisdom, and the healing power of representation. Her work reflects a deep understanding of how community, heritage, and personal narrative intertwine in the therapeutic process.
Adrianna’s specialty in art therapy offers a deeply supportive and intuitive tool, especially when words fall short or emotions feel overwhelming. She guides her clients through the unfolding creative process with mindfulness and compassion, allowing space for reflection, insight, and healing.
With Adrianna, therapy feels like a soft landing — a place where creativity becomes a language for healing and where vulnerability is met with warmth, cultural understanding, and care.
Adriana is supervised by Wanda Montemayor LPC-S, ATCS, ATR-BC, RPT-S
